Before even reading the description below I saw this picture and thought to myself…..YES!! I’ve been there….this HAS to be Portugal….the little beach we found while getting off track…dirt roads, passing donkeys, shepherds and not knowing if we were on someones private property. We stumbled into this little treasure.
Most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen.
After being a commerical photographer for the past 20 years, Christian Chaize came to discover a specific stretch of coast in Portugal that both revolutionized his life and his subject of photography. He has been photographing this same stretch obsessively since he found it on vacation in 2004. His series is haunting and lovely, each piece beautifully treated and composed- focused on time and space.

One year ago a group of friends and I went to Woodstock for the weekend. We rented a cabin, celebrated Mari’s birthday, drank lots of whiskey & spiked apple cider, went pumpkin & apple picking, chilled in a hot tub-where the next morning we realized it had green water!!, danced one night in the middle of the living room, and overall had a great time in each others company. The photos from this trip were put on flickr in this group (click through to see all).
Brandon finally put together a video from that weekend for all of us to reminisce (I totally forgot he brought the video camera!!) I love this! Thanks BK and Blazey for editing it.
Lovely.
ps. The cabin we stayed in burned down a few months ago. So sad. :(

Surprisingly amazing lobster roll @ Brooklyn Flea Market:
I really should add up the number of lobster rolls I had this season… I bet I hit double-digits easy.
Oh wait, I forgot I blogged most of them: www.flickr.com/photos/dpstyles/tags/lobsterroll09/
ps: and counting down the days ‘till Luke’s Lobster opens in the hood:
