ADULT CAMP 2008! (via dpstyles) This is what I did over the weekend (Dens description is pretty dead on so i will copy and paste): ADULT CAMP 2008 = About 30 of us rented out a summer camp in the Berkshires for this weekend. Camping + grilling + fires + smores + swimming + kayaks + rope course (!!) + climbing wall + kickballl + 800 beers + all the spiders you can eat! Kind of the bestest weekend ever. More photos: Chrissy, Dens, J.Crowley, Becca, Iowa, Janelle. (ploaroids…most on private) (i will add more when the others have uploaded)

Here I am doing a rope course above the trees…..it was very scary but pretty amazing after finishing 2 tight ropes and 1 wooden bridge (with no hands!) i got to glide down to safety on a pulley!  So awesome. ADULT CAMP 2008! (via dpstyles) It was so humid and sprinkled a bit right before our hike up to Hi-Rock so I carried a hiking stick I found along the way to help me from falling down. After we got up there we popped a bottle of champagne and watched a little lightening storm.

I went to the Guggenheim Museum a couple weeks ago to see Cai Guo-Qiang’s I Want to Believe exhibition….which was showing there since mid February and I finally made it there to one of the last weekends it was showing. I need to prioritize my free time better i think… I always have intentions to do things around the city or just in general and somehow find myself without the time to do them…I am even a member of the New Musuem yet I have not made it back there since the opening weekend to see any new exhibitions. I think baby steps is the key: The same weekend I went to the Guggenheim I went to the MET because I really wanted to see their Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy exhibit. Although we found ourselves, again, out of time because of other plans and left after only seeing that one exhibition, but I still feel pretty good about at least making it up there.

CFDA Fashion Awards tonight!

My boss was nominated for Womenswear Designer of the Year and will find out tonight if he is wins.  He was nominated for the same award back in 2006 which he won.  Ironically he is up against the same group of designers this year.  I’m really excited for him and hope he wins.  It is much deserved. 

His entire team was also invited to the awards tonight to celebrate his nomination and possible win.  And I’m really excited to be wearing a dress designed by my good friend Julian (who was Francisco’s protege).  Julian and I went shopping all day yesterday to find the right shoes to wear with the dress….turns out….its really hard to find a shoe once you have your mind set on something, but i did find several other shoes that rocked my world.

I’m sure there will be photos to come.  Stay tuned.
